§ 36.01 PERSONNEL POLICIES MANUAL; ADOPTED.
The City Council of the City of Glen Rose, Texas, hereby adopts a Personnel Policies Manual, with amendments as may be subsequently approved by the City Council, as the official policy of the city with regard to personnel administration. A copy of the manual shall be kept on file in the office of the City Secretary and it shall be the duty of the City Secretary to keep the manual updated when amendments are approved by the City Council.

§ 36.02 TEXAS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM; ADOPTED.
(A) The City Council hereby exercises its option and elects to have the city and all employees of all departments now existing or hereafter established participate in the Texas Municipal Retirement System as provided in Tex. Gov’t. Code, Title 8.

from repeal, but those ordinances have not been codified herein. Those ordinances are on file in
the office of the City Secretary.
§ 36.03 SOCIAL SECURITY.
(A) City Council to act on behalf of city. The City Council acting for and on behalf of the City of Glen Rose shall enter into all necessary agreements for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of the Federal Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Program (Social Security).
(B) Mayor appointed agent. The Mayor is hereby appointed as agent of the City Council and of the city to execute all necessary agreements and instruments for and on behalf of the City Council and city.
(C) City Secretary to make collections and payments. The City Secretary is hereby directed to be the person responsible for making assessments, collections, payments and reports as required by the program.
(D) Sufficient sum of money to be allocated. A sufficient sum of money shall be allocated and set aside from available funds for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of the program.
