NOTICE OF MEETING

CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLEN ROSE

MAY 14, 2007 - 5:30 PM

COUNCIL CHAMBERS – TOWN HALL

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLEN ROSE WILL MEET AT 5:30 P.M. ON MONDAY, MAY 14, 2007, IN TOWN HALL, 201 NE VERNON STREET, TO DISCUSS AND POSSIBLY TAKE ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

1. REQUEST FROM CHAYCE WILSON to approve a final plat (with revisions) of Abstract 94, Tract H, Lots 4-3 of the S.A. & M.G.R.R. Co. Survey, located on Southwest Barnard Street, for a new subdivision to be known as "River Glen."

2. REQUEST FROM JOHNNY PILCHER for annexation of the property described as that portion of Block 48 of the Milam County School Land Survey, Abstract No. 136, in the City of Glen Rose, Somervell County, Texas, and being a portion of a 0.574 acre tract of land recorded in Vol. 3, P. 378 of the Deed Records of Somervell County, Texas, said property being adjacent to the city limits on Texas Drive.

AGENDA:

1. Citizen Comments: This is for citizens to comment on any subject concerning city business that is not on the current agenda.

2. Approve minutes of previous meeting(s).

3. Approve or reject Final Plat of River Glen subdivision, as outlined in Public Hearing #1.

4. Issue proclamation naming the month of May as Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month.

5. Approve appointment of Darrell Webb as Fire Marshall for the City.

6. Consider and approve or deny Dewayne Sanderson's request to close the remaining portion of Era Street that was not included in the original partial closure of July 1982.

7. Appoint members to Strategic Steering Team: Gary Marks, Chairman, Jody Butler, Mike Ford, Billy Huckaby, Marilyn Phillips, Larry Shaw and Rocky Terry.

8. Margaret Drake to present report on progress of Riverwalk Committee.

9. Discussion of progress on recommendations from Certified Real Estate Counselors, and towards completion of Comprehensive (Master) Plan.

10. Discuss Annexation.

11. Report on committee to study 4B tax.

                   12. CVB Director's Report.
